Welders & Fitters

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret

  structural fabrication drawings

  to assemble steel components.
• Mark, cut, drill, grind, and align parts as per drawing specifications.
• Perform fit-up of columns, beams, gussets, base plates, stiffeners, etc.
• Use hand tools, grinders, gas cutting torches, and measuring instruments.
• Assist welders during pre-welding and post-welding operations.
• Ensure proper dimensional accuracy using tools like measuring tape, level, square, etc.
• Coordinate with foreman/supervisor to ensure timely progress of work.
• Follow all

  safety norms

  and wear proper PPE at all times.

Requirements:

• ITI / Trade Certificate in Fitting or equivalent.
• 2–10 years of experience in

  heavy structural fabrication or site erection

  .
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and structural layouts.
• Hands-on experience in using fabrication and fitting tools.
• Good understanding of industrial materials and handling techniques.
• Physically fit and accustomed to working in outdoor or workshop conditions.
