Welder cum turner

• Operate turning machines (lathe) to manufacture and repair mechanical parts as per drawings.
• Perform welding (MIG/TIG/Arc/Gas) on mild steel, stainless steel, and other metals.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
• Maintain welding equipment and lathe machines in proper working condition.
• Ensure quality control by checking dimensions and surface finishes.
• Follow all safety protocols and use protective equipment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• ITI / Diploma in Fitter, Turner, or Welding (or equivalent trade).
• Proven experience in both welding and turning operations.
• Knowledge of different welding processes and materials.
• Ability to operate conventional lathe machines and basic machining tools.
• Good understanding of measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, gauges).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience:

• Minimum 2–5 years in welding and turning roles.
• Experience in heavy machinery, fabrication, or industrial equipment maintenance is an advantage.
