Key Responsibilities

Weighing A weighbridge operator runs a weighbridge, a platform scale used to weigh vehicles and record their Operations: Operate the weighbridge to accurately measure the weight of incoming and outgoing vehicles.
Data Management: Record gross, tare (empty), and net weights, update records in the system, and maintain detailed logs of all transactions.
Documentation: Generate shipping documents, weight slip or receipts for drivers.
Maintenance: Perform routine checks and minor maintenance on the weighbridge equipment to ensure its functionality and accuracy.
Customer Service: Interact with drivers and logistics personnel, provide clear instructions, and address their queries.
Safety: Ensure safe operation of the weighbridge and surrounding areas, including proper vehicle positioning and monitoring for unauthorized access.

Required Skills

Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency for operating weighbridge software and data entry.
Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with drivers and other staff.
Basic Maintenance: Ability to perform routine cleaning and minor repairs on equipment and computer system.
