Wedding & Events Planner – Specializing in Indian and South Asian Celebrations

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized, creative, and culturally savvy Wedding & Events Planner to join our team, with a specialization in Indian and South Asian weddings. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of traditional and modern Indian wedding customs, decor styles, and event logistics, and be passionate about creating unforgettable celebrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and execute weddings, pre-wedding events (mehndi, sangeet, haldi), receptions, and other social events.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, cultural requirements, and budget.
• Source and manage vendors for decor, catering, music, lighting, venues, and more.
• Create detailed event timelines, floor plans, and checklists to ensure seamless execution.
• Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring everything runs smoothly and on schedule.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, vendors, and team members throughout the planning process.
• Stay up to date with trends in Indian and South Asian wedding traditions, themes, and design.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in wedding or event planning (minimum 2 years preferred).
• Strong understanding of Indian and/or South Asian wedding customs and rituals.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and client service abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple events and clients simultaneously.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel to event locations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic event planning software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Event or Wedding Planning (optional but a plus).
• Multilingual skills (Hindi, Telugu, English.) are an asset.
• Experience with luxury or destination weddings is a bonus.
