You will be working at Upstep Academy, a company that is developing an innovative online chess platform combining education, gaming, and technology to create a comprehensive ecosystem for learners. **Role Overview:** As a Senior Web Frontend Developer specializing in React.js, your role will involve building responsive and high-performance user interfaces using React.js and TypeScript with Next.js. You will also be responsible for developing interactive features such as chessboards, puzzles, timers, and live dashboards. Integration of real-time APIs and WebSockets for seamless gameplay and lessons, as well as writing scalable, testable, and reusable code, will be part of your daily tasks. Collaboration with designers, backend engineers, and product managers is essential for the success of projects. **Key Responsibilities:** - Build responsive and performant UIs using React.js + TypeScript (Next.js) - Develop interactive features like chessboards, puzzles, timers, and live dashboards - Integrate real-time APIs & WebSockets for smooth gameplay and lessons - Write scalable, testable, and reusable code - Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product managers **Qualifications Required:** - 4-10 years of experience in frontend development - Strong skills in React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3 - Solid understanding of responsive design & performance optimization - Experience with Git, CI/CD, and modern development workflows - Nice to Have: Experience with Next.js, Redux/Context API, multiplayer/gamified apps, familiarity with chess platforms You will be working in Mumbai at the company's office on a full-time basis.
