Key Responsibilities

Build responsive, high-performance custom Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Modify existing themes and troubleshoot bugs to ensure seamless performance
Develop, install, and manage custom Shopify Apps
Integrate third-party applications and APIs to enhance store functionalityOptimize store speed and performance across devices and browsers
Work directly with project managers, designers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality work
Manage version control with Git/SVN
Stay up to date with Shopify updates, best practices, and new eCommerce trends
Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following industry standards
Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge-sharing sessions

Required Skills & Experience

Strong command of Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery

Familiarity with Shopify Admin APIs and Storefront APIs

Proficiency in theme customization and building reusable code libraries

Experience with cross-browser compatibility, mobile responsiveness, and performance optimization

Knowledge of version control tools (Git/SVN)

Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

Strong communication skills both verbal and written

Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines independently

Bonus Skills (Preferred)

Experience with WooCommerce, Magento, or BigCommerce
Familiarity with headless commerce, Shopify Hydrogen, or React-based storefronts
Knowledge of PHP for advanced integrations
SEO experience on Shopify (meta tags, structured data, page speed)
