Job Description

Responsibilities

Min 10+ years hands-on experience in DB2 z/OS administration.

Mastery of DB2 performance tuning, SQL query optimization, and problem diagnostics.
Performance Tuning & Optimization
Lead sophisticated DB2 z/OS performance tuning, SQL optimization, and buffer pool management.
Proactively monitor, analyze, and resolve system and application performance issues to meet stringent SLAs.
Identify and resolve bottlenecks in both system and application layers.
Deep expertise in 24x7 support of large, business-critical DB2 environments.
Proven experience in client handling, stakeholder communication, and technical presentations.
Develop and review documentation, SOPs, and best practices related to DB2 performance and operations.
Strong knowledge of DB2 subsystem installation, upgrades, utilities, and security integration (RACF, ACF2, Top Secret).
Proficiency with DB2 tools (Omegamon, Data Studio, BMC/CA tools, IBM Data Server Manager).

Preferred Qualifications

IBM Certified Database Administrator DB2 for z/OS.
Experience leading DB2 migration or large consolidation projects.
Exposure to hybrid cloud/mainframe integration.
