Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Source, evaluate, and finalize vendors for packing materials, business promotion, and administrative requirements.
Negotiate price, quality, credit terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost efficiency.
Maintain and update vendor database, ensuring vendor compliance with company policies.
Raise and process purchase orders (POs) in line with approved indents.
Ensure timely availability of materials across locations without stock-outs.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders (production, marketing, admin, finance) to align purchase with operational needs.
Monitor and control purchase costs.
Identify cost-saving opportunities through alternate sourcing, vendor consolidation, or bulk procurement.
Support finance in tracking spend vs. budget.
Track inventory levels of packing materials and reorder stock based on consumption patterns.
Ensure timely delivery of goods to all factory locations.
Coordinate with logistics/transport teams to resolve delivery issues.
Maintain proper purchase documentation, contracts, and vendor agreements.
Ensure adherence to companys purchase policies, statutory requirements, and audit compliance.
Prepare MIS reports on purchase spend, vendor performance, and savings achieved.
Work closely with Marketing for business promotion material procurement.
Support Administration in procuring office essentials, AMC contracts, and event requirements.
Coordinate with Finance for vendor payments and reconciliation.
