Your Role And Responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role We are seeking an experienced Dispatch, Logistics, and Packing Materials In-Charge to oversee and manage the dispatch and logistics operations, as well as the management of packing materials for our heavy industrial packing division. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in logistics, with a strong background in managing dispatch operations, coordinating shipments, and ensuring the availability and quality of packing materialsThe work model for the role is:This role is contributing to the Motion Business for System Drive Division in Nelamangala- Bangalore, India

Dispatch, Logistics, and Packing Materials in Charge

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispatch Management: Oversee the dispatch of goods, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to clients.
• Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and clients to ensure smooth logistics operations.
• Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock for dispatch and packing materials.
• Packing Materials Management: Ensure the availability and quality of packing materials, coordinating with suppliers and managing inventory.
• Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of logistics, dispatch, and packing staff, providing guidance and support.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to logistics, transportation, and packing materials.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of dispatch, logistics, and packing materials activities, including shipment tracking and delivery confirmations.
• Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or delays in the dispatch, logistics, and packing materials process.
• Cost Management: Monitor and control logistics and packing materials costs to ensure budget adherence.
• Sustainable Packing Initiatives: Implement and promote sustainable packing practices, including reducing material waste, optimizing designs for recyclability, and exploring biodegradable or compostable alternatives.
  

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Maintaining complete and accurate data in the ERP system.
• Checking the quality of incoming goods for storage.
• Ensuring daily contact with suppliers.
• Participating in regular inventory control processes.
  

Qualifications For The Role (Mandatory)

• Experience: Minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in dispatch, logistics, and packing materials management, preferably in heavy industrial packing.
• Education: Diploma in electrical/EEE or similar discipline engineering.
• Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software and tools.
• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of logistics processes, transportation regulations, and packing materials management.
• Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work under pressure.
• Language proficiency: Kannada, English, Hindi.
• Safety: Adequate Knowledge on safety for Packing and Dispatch Activities
• Additional Skill: SAP knowledge will be an ADDED Advantage
