Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Warehouse Operations Management

Plan, organize, and supervise day-to-day warehouse operations for paper finished goods.
Ensure proper storage, stacking, and handling of paper reels/reams to avoid damage.
Maintain FIFO/FEFO principles and ensure adherence to dispatch schedules.

Inventory & Documentation

Oversee physical stock management, location management, and ensure system stock accuracy.
Conduct periodic stock audits and reconciliations with ERP/WMS.
Monitor and report on stock movement, age, and slow/non-moving inventory.

Dispatch & Logistics Coordination

Ensure timely dispatches as per sales/dispatch plan.
Coordinate with logistics, and sales teams for vehicle scheduling and order planning.
Verify loading/receiving processes, documentation (GRN, Order pickings, Delivery Challans, Invoices, E-Way Bills).

People Management

Supervise warehouse staff, forklift operators, and contract labor.
Allocate work, monitor productivity, and ensure proper training on warehouse SOPs.
Enforce compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Compliance & Safety

Maintain warehouse hygiene, fire safety, and material handling best practices.
Ensure compliance with statutory and company guidelines (safety, ISO, 5S, etc.).
Implement continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse operations.
