Job Title: Ward Boy

Department: General Services / Patient Care
Location: Shree Medishine Hospital, Raipur
Reporting To: Nursing Superintendent / Ward In-charge

Job Purpose:

To provide basic support and assistance to patients and nursing staff in wards, ensuring cleanliness, patient safety, and comfort in line with hospital protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Support:
• Assist in shifting and transferring patients within the hospital (bed to stretcher/wheelchair, etc.).
• Help patients with daily activities such as toileting, bathing, feeding (if necessary), and changing clothes.
• Provide physical support to patients with mobility challenges.
• Ward Management:
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the ward and patient beds.
• Change bed sheets, dispose of soiled linen, and manage waste as per hospital protocols.
• Assist in preparing beds before and after patient admission/discharge.
• Support to Nursing & Medical Staff:
• Help nurses in carrying equipment, samples, and documents.
• Provide assistance during minor procedures or emergencies under guidance.
• Run errands within the hospital such as delivering files, medications, and reports.
• General Conduct:
• Maintain polite and respectful behavior with patients, attendants, and hospital staff.
• Follow infection control protocols and hygiene standards.
• Wear prescribed uniform and maintain grooming standards at all times.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Minimum Qualification: 10th pass (preferred)
• Prior experience in hospital setting preferred but not mandatory
• Basic understanding of hygiene, patient care, and hospital etiquette
• Physically fit and mentally alert
• Willingness to work in shifts, including night duty and weekends

Work Timings:

As per hospital shift schedule (Rotational shifts: Morning/Evening/Night)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹9,000.00 - ₹11,000.00 per month
