Walk-in Drive- Single round only Job Title: Senior Java Backend Developer (API Focus) Experience Required: 6+ Years Location: [Chennai] Employment Type: [Permanent] About the Role: We are looking for a seasoned Java Backend Developer with over 6 years of experience to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and robust APIs. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API design, and be passionate about writing high-performance and maintainable code. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Java and Spring Boot. Develop RESTful APIs to support mobile and web applications. Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, QA, and product managers to deliver high-quality solutions. Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability. Apply best practices in software engineering, including clean code principles, unit testing, and code reviews. Participate in system architecture and design discussions. Integrate with third-party systems, external APIs, and data sources. Ensure secure coding practices, including authentication, authorization, and data protection. Monitor and troubleshoot production issues and provide timely solutions. Required Skills & Qualifications: 6+ years of professional experience in Java backend development . Strong expertise in Spring Boot , Spring MVC , and related frameworks. Proven experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs . Solid understanding of HTTP, JSON, OAuth2/JWT , and API security best practices. Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB). Proficient in using version control systems like Git. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build tools like Maven or Gradle. Familiarity with container technologies (e.g., Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Good understanding of microservices architecture. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Kafka , RabbitMQ , or other message brokers. Familiarity with GraphQL , gRPC , or WebSockets is a plus. Knowledge of unit testing and integration testing tools like JUnit, Mockito. Exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
