• Customer service: Greet guests, escort them to tables, present menus, and make recommendations.
• Order management: Take accurate food and drink orders, using a POS system when applicable, and communicate them to the kitchen staff.
• Serving: Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely and efficient manner.
• Payment and billing: Prepare and present bills to customers, process payments, and handle cash or credit card transactions accurately.
• Table maintenance: Clear tables of dirty dishes, reset tables for new customers, and maintain a clean dining area.
• Guest satisfaction: Check in with guests to ensure they are satisfied with their meal, address any concerns, and resolve complaints promptly.
• Up-selling: Suggest appetizers, desserts, or drinks to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
• Health and safety: Follow health and safety regulations for food handling and maintain a sanitary environment.
