Project There For You is a peer-led initiative offering gentle, emotionally attuned mentorship for students feeling overwhelmed academically, emotionally, or existentially. Founded by a psychologist and a researcher, we believe that support should be soft, consistent, and shame-free. Our one-to-one spaces help with academic scaffolding, career and course clarity, and peer co-regulation. We aim to provide a safe space for students to navigate their challenges without judgment.

Role Description

This is a volunteer role for Project There For You, located on-site in Mumbai. Volunteers will engage in day-to-day tasks such as providing one-to-one mentorship, offering academic support in writing, planning, and communication, assisting with career and course clarity, and holding space for emotional expression and peer co-regulation. Volunteers will offer support to students navigating stress, burnout, and mental health challenges in high-pressure academic environments.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Empathy, active listening, and emotional intelligence
• Experience in mentoring or peer support roles
• Academic support skills in writing, planning, and communication
• Ability to provide career and course guidance
• Understanding of mental health challenges in academic environments
• Experience in counselling or psychology is a plus
