Voice Engineer

The primary focus of this role is to develop voice software for IVI platform and products. As a software developer for the Voice team, you will be responsible for integrating various voice solutions such as Cerence, Alexa, and Google. Proficiency in Android framework, Java, and Kotlin programming languages is essential for success in this role. Your key objectives will include coding in Java/Kotlin, experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and Linux/Android operating systems, strong problem-solving skills, and understanding of embedded hardware including datasheets and schematics. Knowledge of voice solutions such as Google, Alexa, and Cerence, as well as infotainment products, will be critical. Experience with configuration management and defect management tools is also required. In your first year, you will be expected to develop reusable assets for integrating various Voice SDKs for automotive use cases, create production-ready modules for domains like Media, Navigation, and Radio, and deliver work products with proper unit testing using any framework. Qualifications for this role include a Masters or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 7-15 years of relevant experience in a regional or global environment, proficiency in Java/Kotlin programming languages, voice domain skills, integration knowledge of voice solutions, communication protocols, understanding of OS-related tasks and memory profiling, experience with Android Studio IDE development and debugging, Android app development in Java, knowledge of Android test frameworks, and familiarity with tools such as GIT, Gerrit, JIRA, Android Studio, VSCode, Enterprise Architect (UML), VMWare, and Coverity. Knowledge of Google Test Framework and testing frameworks like Junit and Mockito used in Android will also be beneficial.,
