VMC Supervisor

A VMC supervisor working a 12-hour shift is responsible for overseeing the operation and productivity of Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines, ensuring quality output, and managing a team of operators during extended work periods.​

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of VMC machine operators throughout the 12-hour shift.​
• Monitor machine operations, ensure adherence to production schedules, and maintain quality standards.​
• Set up, program, and troubleshoot VMC machines as needed.​
• Conduct routine inspections, maintain machine cleanliness, and oversee basic preventive maintenance.​
• Address any technical issues, tool wear, or machine breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.​
• Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols and company policies.​
• Prepare production reports, document machine activities, and communicate shift handover details.​

Qualifications and Skills

• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical or related field, or relevant experience in VMC/CNC operations.​
• Strong knowledge of machine programming, tooling, and setting up VMC machines.​
• Leadership and team management skills to guide operators and maintain productivity.​
• Ability to work efficiently during long shifts and adapt to rotating shift patterns.​
• Familiarity with quality control processes and documentation.​
