VMC PROGRAMMER

As a VMC Programmer at GR Industries, you will be a key member of our manufacturing team, responsible for developing and optimizing VMC programs using G-Code & M-Code for various machining tasks. Your expertise will be crucial in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D models to ensure precision machining and high-quality results within timelines. Working with CAM software such as NX, PowerMill, SolidWorks CAM, or MasterCAM for program generation will be essential for creating accurate programs. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and optimize VMC programs using G-Code & M-Code for various machining tasks. - Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D models. - Work with CAM software (NX, PowerMill, SolidWorks CAM, MasterCAM, etc.) for program generation. - Select tools, set tool offsets, and ensure proper tool path strategies for efficient machining. - Perform first-piece inspection and make necessary program adjustments. - Coordinate with design and production teams for machining feasibility and improvements. - Ensure machining accuracy and maintain dimensional tolerances as per specifications. - Conduct preventive maintenance checks on VMC machines. - Troubleshoot machining problems, reduce cycle time, and improve productivity. - Maintain proper documentation of programs, setups, and process sheets.
