Position: VMC Programmer (Tool & Die)

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced VMC Programmer proficient in Mitsubishi Controller, PowerMILL CAM software, 3D programming, and SolidWorks designing. The candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and optimizing VMC machines for high-precision tool & die manufacturing and aluminium components.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Programming & Machine Operation

• Prepare and develop 3D VMC programs using PowerMILL for tool & die manufacturing.

• Create and modify CAM programs as per drawings and production requirements.

• Operate and set up VMC machines with Mitsubishi controller.

• Validate and optimize machining programs for precision, speed, and tool life.

• Perform trial runs and make necessary adjustments for best output.

2. Tool & Die Manufacturing

• Understanding of tooling design, die manufacturing, and aluminium components machining.

• Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining strategies.

• Ensure high surface finish and tolerance accuracy as per requirement.

3. Drawing & Design Interpretation

• Read and interpret 2D & 3D engineering drawings.

• Work on SolidWorks to view, measure or make minor modifications to models.

• Ensure proper understanding of GD&T and machining processes.

4. Quality & Process Control

• Inspect finished components using measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge).

• Ensure dimensional accuracy as per drawings.

• Maintain quality standards and optimize machining parameters.

5. Maintenance & Documentation

• Maintain program files, tool lists, and daily activity logs.

• Coordinate with engineering, tool room, and production teams.

• Follow machine maintenance schedules and report issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years experience in VMC programming and machining.

• Hands-on experience with:

  Mitsubishi Controller

  PowerMILL (2D/3D programming)

  SolidWorks software

• Strong understanding of tool & die machining, aluminium components, and manufacturing processes.

• Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and toolpath optimization.

• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot machining errors.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
