The Role:

As a VMC Operator, you will be responsible for operating and setting up Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) to produce high-precision components. Your expertise in CNC machining, ability to interpret technical drawings, and attention to detail will ensure optimal machine performance and high-quality output. You will play a key role in our manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Setup & Operation:

• Set up and operate Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs).
• Load tools, fixtures, and workpieces with precision.
• Ensure the correct calibration of machines for optimal accuracy.

Programming & Adjustment:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, SOPs, and tooling instructions.
• Work with Fanuc/Mitsubishi controllers for programming and adjustments.
• Edit 2D programming as needed to ensure accuracy in machining.

Quality Control & Inspection:

• Conduct first-article and in-process inspections to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Utilize measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Maintain production and inspection records accurately.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance:

• Identify and resolve machining issues related to tool wear, programming errors, or machine malfunctions.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and tool changes.

Safety & Documentation:

• Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a clean workspace.
• Maintain accurate logs of production data, maintenance activities, and quality checks.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and fellow team members to ensure smooth workflow.
• Provide feedback on process improvements and quality enhancements.

Required Skills and Competencies:

VMC Operation: Proficiency in operating and setting up VMC machines.
CNC Programming: Familiarity with Fanuc/Mitsubishi controllers and 2D programming.
Technical Expertise: Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T principles.
Problem-Solving: Quick troubleshooting of machining issues.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring precision in all operations and quality checks.
Safety Awareness: Adherence to workplace safety guidelines.

What Makes You Our Perfect Match?

Experience:

2-5 years of hands-on experience in VMC machine operation and programming.

Qualification:

ITI/Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering or a relevant field.

Knowledge:

Expertise in machine shop operations and manufacturing industry practices.
Familiarity with Mastercam software (preferred).
Hands-on experience with Fanuc/Mitsubishi controllers.

Physical Requirement:

Ability to work in rotational shifts and maintain focus during precision work.
