Job Description/ Key Deliverables 1. Set up and operate the VMC machine as per job requirements and daily production plan.
2. Interpret engineering drawings, tool layouts, and machining instructions.
3. Carry out milling, drilling, tapping, profiling, pocketing, and contour machining operations.
4. Monitor machining parameters and ensure dimensional accuracy using measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometre, Height gauge, plug gauge, plunger dials etc.).
5. Conduct first-piece approval, in-process inspection, and final inspection.
6. Perform basic machine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication activities.
7. Identify abnormalities, troubleshoot issues, and report to the supervisor.
8. Maintain production reports and follow safety standards.
Required Skills:
9. Strong knowledge of CNC milling operations and tooling.
10. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
11. Hands-on experience in understanding basic programming, and usage of G-code and M-code understanding.
12. Knowledge of fixture setting, tool selection, and work offsets.
13. Good understanding of cutting speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.
14. Ability to handle the machine independently, and if any dimensional issue should correct it as per drawings requirements.
