Position Summary We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented VMC Operator to manage machining operations on 3-axis Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs). The role requires experience in precision machining, especially related to injection mold components or tool making. Key Responsibilities 1. Machine Setup & Operation Set up 3-axis VMC machines as per job requirements Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD/CAM outputs, and job instructions Load tools, calibrate offsets, and ensure job setup is accurate before running operations 2. Machining Execution Operate VMC machines to produce precision mold inserts, core/cavity components, and tool parts Monitor machine operations to ensure high dimensional accuracy and surface finish Perform in-process checks using measuring instruments like Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Dial Indicators, etc. 3. Maintenance & Tool Care Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning Ensure cutting tools are sharp, clean, and replaced as needed Identify issues like tool wear, vibration, or burr formation and take corrective action 4. Documentation & Reporting Maintain operation sheets, machine logs, and quality inspection reports Record cycle times, tool life, and part quantities Report any deviations or non-conformities to the supervisor 5.
