VMC & CNC machine Operator

As a VMC & CNC Machine Operator, you will be an essential part of our manufacturing team, responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) and CNC machines to ensure the production of high-quality components. Your attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings will be crucial in achieving precision and quality in the finished products. Key Responsibilities: - Set up, program, and operate VMC and CNC machines with correct settings for machining processes. - Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files to prepare machine setup and tooling. - Utilize G-code programming and CNC control systems for executing machine operations. - Inspect and measure machined parts using precision instruments to verify dimensional accuracy. - Adjust machine settings, speeds, and feeds to optimize performance and minimize errors. - Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines for optimal functioning. - Troubleshoot and resolve machine errors, including tool wear, programming errors, and equipment malfunction. - Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. - Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machine operations and improve quality control. - Record and document machine performance, part counts, and encountered issues. VMC & CNC Knowledge: - Strong understanding of VMC and CNC machine operations, including tool selection, programming, and workpiece setup. - In-depth knowledge of CNC controls and software systems such as Fanuc, Haas, and Siemens. - Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models for machine setups. - Skilled in G-code programming and editing to meet machining requirements. - Familiarity with tool wear and its impact on machining accuracy. - Understanding of cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and their relation to material properties. - Knowledge of machine calibration, tool offsets, and fixture setup. - Awareness of safety standards and best practices for VMC and CNC operations. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or vocational training in CNC machining preferred). - Proven experience as a VMC or CNC Machine Operator (3 years preferred). - Proficiency in CNC programming, machine setup, and operations. - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD files. - Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-precision work. - Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
