Visualization Associate - Front end developer

Role Overview: As part of the Visualization Centre of Excellence (CoE) at Bain & Company, you will be responsible for developing scalable, user-friendly applications and supporting global Bain case teams by providing data analytics and business intelligence support. Your role will involve writing complex code, optimizing web applications, and ensuring the quality and maintainability of code. Additionally, you will collaborate with the team to gather requirements, plan for user experience, and investigate data and code issues. Key Responsibilities: - Write complex code to develop scalable, flexible, user-friendly applications across a robust technology stack - Construct, test, install, and maintain database and backend for software products - Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability - Contribute to the planning for acceptance testing and implementation of new software - Develop secure and highly performant services and API - Evaluate potential technologies for adoption - Ensure the maintainability and quality of code - Support project lead in end-to-end handling of the entire process - Gather requirements and business process knowledge for user experience planning - Investigate data and code to identify potential issues and propose solutions - Prepare documentation for further reference - Keep abreast of new front end development tools & techniques Qualifications Required: - Graduate/Post-Graduate from top-tier College with strong academic records - 3-5 years of relevant work experience in front end development - Proficiency in TypeScript and TypeScript frameworks such as React or Angular - Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+) - Experience with state management libraries and modern front-end build pipelines - Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating back-end services - Understanding of responsive and adaptive design principles - Motivated and collaborative team player with excellent communication skills - Ability to prioritize projects, manage multiple priorities, and drive projects to completion - Concentration in a quantitative discipline is preferred - Knowledge of testing frameworks and design systems is a plus - Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control systems is a plus - Experience with GraphQL is a plus About the Company: Bain & Company is a global management consulting firm that helps ambitious change-makers define the future.
