Visualisation Analyst

As a Visualisation Analyst at Travelex, your role involves supporting the business in deriving valuable insights and making data-driven decisions. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders from various business domains to design, deliver, and support data solutions, predominantly in the form of dashboards or reports. Additionally, you will assist the visualisation team in enabling self-service access to trusted information for end users. Your work with data visualisation will focus on transforming data into easily understandable metrics, highlighting trends, and providing useful insights to tell user stories effectively. This will play a crucial role in supporting important business decisions by collaborating with data engineers and subject matter experts across the company. In this role, some key responsibilities include: - Utilizing visualisation tools like AWS Quicksight to present data in visual formats such as dashboards. - Creating wireframes and prototypes of visualisations to gather quick user feedback. - Collaborating with stakeholders from different business domains to comprehend their data requirements and offer data-driven solutions. - Providing regular feedback to the visualisation and broader data team in agile ceremonies and on Jira board. - Researching and conducting proof of concepts on analysis and visualisation tools. - Training and assisting colleagues in using visualisation tools and team-produced dashboards. - Staying updated on visualisation best practices and emerging technologies, sharing this knowledge with others. - Supporting the team in promoting data literacy and facilitating easier data analysis for users. - Developing and maintaining documentation for the team and end users. - Supporting visualisation solutions in production through incident and change management. To be successful as a visualisation analyst at Travelex, the key requirements include: - Having 1+ year of experience as a Visualisation or BI Analyst/Developer. - Familiarity with AWS Quicksight or similar data visualisation tools for creating interactive reports and dashboards. - Proficiency in using SQL for querying datasets. - Demonstrating willingness to learn new tools and technologies. - Showing a passion for data and visualisation and recognizing their impact on driving business success. - Ideally having worked in an agile environment. - Possessing good communication skills, both written and oral. - Being an engaging, motivating, and supportive team player. - Applying a creative and analytical approach to problem-solving. - Any industry experience in foreign exchange or financial services would be beneficial but not mandatory.,
