Location: Vanagaram, Chennai Work Timings: 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday to Saturday Territory: 150 km radius around Chennai Job Summary: As a Sales Engineer and business development for Motors(Bharat Bijlee) , you will be responsible for promoting and selling a wide range of industrial electric motors. Your role will involve identifying customer requirements, offering technical solutions, and supporting clients through the entire sales cycle. Key Responsibilities: Promote IE2/IE3/IE4 motors, flameproof motors, and custom-built LV motors. Identify motor needs across OEMs, machine builders, and end-users. Provide technical sizing, performance data, and application support. Coordinate with internal teams for order processing and delivery. Ensure timely submission of offers, negotiations, and payment follow-up. Maintain documentation and reporting on enquiries, orders, and collections. Requirements: 23 years of experience in electric motor sales or industrial B2B sales. Knowledge of motor selection standards (IS/IEC). Ability to read load charts, performance curves, and technical drawings.

Technical Consultation : Provide in-depth technical support to clients, assisting them in selecting the right product for their needs based on performance requirements, budget, and application. Product Knowledge : Maintain thorough knowledge of all product lines (Nord Drivesystems, Bharat Bijlee Motors, etc.) and be able to provide expert advice and recommendations. Quotations & Offers : Instruct backend team on offer generation and submit technical and commercial proposals, negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with clients to secure sales orders. Order Management : Monitor order processing, ensure timely delivery of products, and follow up on payment collections. Customer Support : Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, building strong customer relationships to ensure long-term business success. Reporting : Regularly report on lead generation, customer onboarding, order booking, and collections. Submit progress reports to the Senior Sales Manager and Directors. Training & Development : Attend product training sessions and stay updated on new product launches, technical advancements, and industry trends to enhance sales performance. Target Achievement : Meet or exceed sales targets as defined by the management. Periodic reviews will be conducted to assess your progress. Skills & Requirements: Technical Acumen : Strong understanding of electromechanical systems, industrial drives, and motors. Sales Experience : Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in industrial equipment or related fields. Customer-Oriented : Ability to understand and prioritize customer needs, translating technical requirements into suitable solutions. Commercial Acumen : Knowledge of contract terms, price negotiations, and payment collection processes. Analytical Skills : Competent in reviewing and understanding technical documents, drawings, and specifications. Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective sales presentations, client meetings, and reporting.
