Key Responsibilities: 1. Sterilizing : Receive unsterile items from various departments. Decontaminate and wash the equipment. Pack items for sterilization. Store the sterile items. Dispatch the sterile equipment to the respective departments. Perform weekly fumigation of sterile room, decontamination room and clean zone. Scrub and wash sterilization machine regularly. Regular cleaning of equipment and department. 2. Monitoring: Carry out inspection of all equipments/instruments of the department so that they are kept in the state of readiness at all times. Carry out work as per the schedule by maintaining stringent quality requirements. Carry out all norms in connection with maintaining hygiene and sterility at all times. Monitor the sterilization process. 3. Others: Adhere to timely delivery of instruments and linen to the concerned department. Maintain log book for receipt and issue of the material in the department. Carry out preventive maintenance schedule of all the machines and register the same in the log book.
