You will be responsible for conducting insurance pre-authorization for procedures and treatments, ensuring necessary approvals are obtained before services are rendered. Additionally, you will verify and confirm coverage post-service, ensuring compliance with insurance requirements. Managing the insurance verification process for patients will also be a key part of your role. It is important to collaborate with medical staff to obtain necessary documentation for claims and submit and follow up on insurance claims, ensuring timely processing and resolution of issues. Working closely with patients to explain their insurance benefits and any out-of-pocket costs is crucial. You will maintain accurate records of insurance claims and patient interactions and stay updated on changes in insurance regulations and hospital policies. Addressing and resolving discrepancies or issues related to insurance claims, including denials and appeals, will also be part of your responsibilities. Ideally, you should have a Graduation or Post Graduation in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field. Candidates with 1 to 10 years of experience in hospital insurance processes are preferred. A strong knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing procedures is required along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Perform outpatient procedures including nasal endoscopy, laryngoscopy, and ear syringing. Perform surgeries such as septoplasty, FESS, tympanoplasty, mastoidectomy, tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, tracheostomy, and head & neck tumor excisions. Manage ENT emergencies such as epistaxis, foreign body airway, stridor, and facial trauma. Coordinate with departments like oncology, radiology, pediatrics, and anesthesiology when needed. Provide thorough pre-operative assessment and post-operative care. Maintain clear and timely documentation including surgical notes, consent, discharge summaries, and medical records.
