Key Responsibilities: Client Acquisition & Onboarding: • Generate leads through market research, networking, cold calling, and leveraging industry connections. • Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified leads across industries such as FMCG, Pharma, Consumer Durables, Agri-products, etc. • Prepare customized proposals, presentations, and commercial quotations based on client needs. • Drive the entire sales cycle: from first interaction to successful onboarding and contract closure. • Coordinate with operations and legal teams for seamless implementation of new client accounts. Strategic Planning: • Develop business development strategies in line with organizational goals. • Identify new growth areas, service opportunities, and market trends to expand service offerings. • Analyze regional demand and industry shifts to identify high-potential geographies or sectors. Relationship Management: • Build strong relationships with CXOs, SCM Heads, Purchase Managers, and Logistics Heads of target companies. • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention through regular engagement and proactive problem-solving. • Serve as the point of escalation for any client-related issues during the initial engagement phase. Collaboration & Execution: • Work closely with warehousing, transport, and C&F operations teams to align business development with operational capabilities. • Participate in pricing discussions, negotiations, and service level agreement finalizations. • Contribute to budgeting, sales forecasting, and monthly/quarterly reporting. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management. • 6–7+ years of relevant experience in business development in the logistics, warehousing, or supply chain industry. • Demonstrated history of client acquisition and business generation with quantifiable results. • Deep understanding of warehousing, C&F operations, last-mile delivery models, and 3PL structures. • Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence decision-makers. • Working knowledge of CRM tools, MS Office, and business analytics dashboards. Additionally, familiarity with CRM tools, MS Office, and business analytics dashboards is required.
