Videographer

Role Overview: As a Videographer, you will be responsible for operating video cameras and related equipment to capture high-quality footage for various purposes such as live events, advertisements, documentaries, and online content. Your role will involve collaborating closely with production teams to achieve the desired visual style and composition. Key Responsibilities: - Camera Operation: - Operate different types of cameras, including handheld, tripod-mounted, drone, and Steadicam. - Adjust camera settings such as focus, exposure, white balance, and frame rate. - Follow the directors" instructions to achieve desired angles, movements, and shots. - Lighting & Composition: - Collaborate with lighting technicians to set up proper lighting conditions. - Frame and compose shots according to artistic and technical requirements. - Ensure high-quality visual aesthetics by managing focus, depth of field, and framing. - Equipment Maintenance: - Set up, test, and maintain camera equipment, lenses, and accessories. - Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure the proper functioning of equipment. - Keep camera gear clean, organized, and ready for use. - Coordination & Communication: - Work closely with directors, cinematographers, and other crew members to align on visual goals. - Collaborate with sound technicians to ensure synchronization with audio recordings. - Adapt to changing conditions during live or on-location shoots. - Filming & Post-Production Support: - Capture high-quality footage for editing and post-production. - Transfer and back up footage after shooting. - Provide input on shot selection and editing when needed. Qualifications & Experience: - Diploma/Degree in Film Production, Media Studies, Cinematography, or a related field. - 1-3 years of Experience in operating professional cameras (e.g., ARRI, RED, Sony, Canon). - Knowledge of camera accessories like gimbals, drones, and stabilizers is a plus. - Familiarity with video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro) is an advantage. - Experience in live broadcasting, filmmaking, or content creation preferred. (Note: The work environment may vary between indoor settings such as studios and production sets to outdoor locations. This role requires flexibility for travel, long hours, and irregular schedules. Additionally, the work may involve lifting heavy equipment and standing for extended periods.) Please note that the work location for this position is in Trivandrum.
