Role Overview
The Video Editor will be responsible for conceptualizing, editing, and delivering high-quality videos for social media, ads, product showcases, campaigns, and brand storytelling. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, understands modern visual trends, and can produce content that resonates with our audience and strengthens our brand identity.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit engaging videos for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Google Ads, and website use.
- Work with raw footage including product videos, influencer content, lifestyle shoots, and campaign assets.
- Create reels, short-form videos, and ad creatives optimized for performance marketing.
- Add motion graphics, transitions, sound design, and colour grading to enhance video quality.
- Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to develop video concepts aligned with campaign goals.
- Maintain brand consistency in all video outputs (aesthetic, tone, pacing, colour palette).
- Repurpose long-form content into short-form, platform-optimized videos.
- Stay updated on video trends, editing styles, and platform algorithms.
- Manage timelines, organize project files, and ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery.
- Contribute to ideation for shoots, storyboards, and creative direction.
Qualifications
- 13+ years of experience as a Video Editor or Motion Graphic Designer.
- Strong proficiency in editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and After Effects.
- Proven experience creating short-form content for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and ads.
- Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, transitions, and sound design.
- Ability to edit product-focused videos with clean aesthetics and premium visual appeal.
- Excellent sense of music selection, colour grading, and visual composition.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills (Bonus)
- Experience in shooting videos (DSLR, mirrorless, phone-based shoots).
- Ability to create motion graphics, animated text, or 3D elements.
- Basic photo editing knowledge (Photoshop/Lightroom).
- Understanding of e-commerce content workflows and ad creative requirements.
- Knowledge of influencer-style content and trending reel formats.
