Role & responsibilities

• Create, edit, and design engaging videos using

  Canva

  and other basic editing tools.
• Trim, cut, and arrange clips to create smooth, visually appealing final videos.
• Add text overlays, transitions, animations, and effects to enhance video quality.
• Incorporate background music, voiceovers, and sound effects as needed.
• Ensure all videos match the brands visual style and tone.
• Design video thumbnails, intros, and outros to attract viewers.
• Optimize videos for different platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc.).
• Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to understand project goals.
• Maintain an organized library of video assets and templates.
• Stay updated with new Canva features, design trends, and video editing techniques.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects and meet deadlines.
• Edit videos for different purposes promotional, social media posts, tutorials, or ads.
  

Preferred candidate profile

• 13 years of experience in video editing or a similar creative role.
• Proficient in

  Canva

  and familiar with basic video editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Filmora, Premiere Pro, or similar).
• Good sense of timing, pacing, and visual storytelling.
• Basic knowledge of design principles, typography, and color usage.
• Ability to edit videos for multiple formats — Reels, Stories, YouTube, and Ads.
• Creative mindset with attention to detail and visual aesthetics.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Up to date with social media trends, video styles, and editing techniques.
• A portfolio or sample work showcasing creativity and editing skills is a plus.
