Job Description: Video Editor and Colorist (3+ years of experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a creative and technically proficient Video Editor & Colorist to join our post-

production team. This role requires a multi-talented individual with a few years of solid

experience, a keen "eye of a director" for storytelling, and an exceptional sense of music and

rhythm.

The ideal candidate is a quick and efficient performer who thrives in a fast-paced

environment. They must have a deep understanding of visual language, an excellent

"colorsense" for grading, and hands-on, expert-level experience with professional editing and

color software. This role is critical in shaping our raw footage into polished, engaging, and

emotionally resonant videos.

Key Responsibilities

• Creative Editing: Assemble footage into compelling narratives, demonstrating a strong

sense of pacing, timing, and story structure. Select and integrate music, dialogue, and

sound effects to enhance the emotional impact.

• Color Grading: Perform professional color correction to ensure visual consistency and

technical accuracy. Apply creative color grading to establish the mood, tone, and

cinematic quality of our films.

• Post-Production Workflow: Manage all aspects of the post-production process, from

media ingest and project organization to final mastering and delivery, ensuring deadlines

are met.

• Quality Control: Meticulously review all videos for any audio, visual, or technical errors

before final delivery.

• Collaboration: Work closely with the Head of Video Production and the

Cinematography team to understand the creative vision and maintain a consistent visual

style across all content.

Qualifications & Skills

Must-Haves:

• Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in video editing and color grading,

backed by a strong portfolio.

• Expert Tool Proficiency: Hands-on mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro

(for editing) and DaVinci Resolve (for color grading).

• Artistic Skills: A proven "director's eye" for storytelling and a great sense of music and

rhythm that translates into the edit.

• Color Expertise: A strong portfolio demonstrating a sophisticated "colorsense" and the

ability to create high-quality, cinematic grades.

• Efficiency: A "quick performer" with the proven ability to manage multiple projects,

iterate based on feedback, and meet tight deadlines.

• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of video codecs, file formats, resolutions,

and post-production best practices.

Preferred Skills (Huge Advantage):

• Working knowledge of motion graphics software (Adobe After Effects) for titles, lower

thirds, and basic animations.

• Familiarity with emerging AI tools for editing.
