As a Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in creating engaging visual content for various media platforms. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with the content team to understand project requirements, manipulating and editing videos creatively, and ensuring high-quality final products that captivate audiences. You will be responsible for trimming footage segments, integrating music, dialogue, graphics, and effects, as well as reviewing shooting scripts and raw material to create a shot-decision list. Your role will involve continuously discovering and implementing new editing technologies to maximize efficiency, ensuring logical sequencing, and smooth running of the final video. In addition, you will need to stay up to date with video editing software, provide constructive feedback to improve video quality, brainstorm and create innovative video content with the production team, and communicate project updates to relevant stakeholders. It is essential to have a Bachelor's degree in film studies or a related field, proven work experience as a Video Editor, and demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio. You should possess a thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity, proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro, understanding of visual storytelling and video editing principles, attention to detail, creativity, and artistic ability. Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and with a team under tight deadlines. Moreover, having a solid understanding of file formats, codecs, resolution, and frame rates, knowledge of motion graphics and visual effects, and the ability to receive and act on constructive criticism are important. Understanding color grading and audio mixing techniques, as well as proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills, will be advantageous in this role.,
