Prographer is looking for a skilled Video Editor & Color Artist to join our creative team. You will be responsible for editing raw footage into finished projects, while also enhancing the visual appeal with advanced color correction and grading techniques. The ideal candidate is a highly creative individual with a passion for storytelling and a keen eye for colour, detail, and aesthetics.
Video Editing:
Edit raw footage into engaging, high-quality video content that meets project requirements.
Collaborate with directors and producers to ensure the editing process aligns with the creative vision and project goals.
Add sound design, voiceovers, effects, and music to enhance the video’s impact.
Trim, sequence, and combine video clips while ensuring smooth transitions, pacing, and flow.
Work within brand guidelines and deliver videos according to the required formats and deadlines.
Colour Grading and Correction:
Perform colour correction to adjust raw footage's balance, brightness, contrast, and colour tones.
Apply advanced colour grading techniques to establish mood, atmosphere, and visual consistency throughout the project.
Utilise colour grading tools (e.g., DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro) to create the desired visual aesthetic.
Work closely with directors and cinematographers to ensure the colour grading aligns with the project's creative vision.
Ensure final colour output is consistent across all platforms (broadcast, web, social media, etc.).
Collaboration and Feedback:
Receive and implement feedback from creative teams and clients to refine edits and colour grading.
Stay updated with industry trends, editing tools, and colour grading technologies to enhance your skills and output continuously.
Maintain organised workflows, manage project files, and ensure the final delivery is technically sound.
Proven experience as a Video Editor/ Colour Artist with a strong portfolio demonstrating editing skills across various formats (film, web, social media).
Expertise in colour grading using industry-standard tools (e.g., DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
Strong understanding of colour theory and visual storytelling.
Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer).
Experience in integrating motion graphics and visual effects is a plus.
Knowledge of various video formats, resolutions, and codecs for output.
Strong attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work independently and efficiently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with visual effects (VFX) or motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects).
Ability to work with high dynamic range (HDR) and wide colour gamut (WCG) footage.
Experience with multi-camera editing and complex editing workflows.
Understanding of different video delivery formats for various platforms (broadcast, digital, social media).
