Vice President Product Engineering

As an experienced Engineering Leader, you will be responsible for driving strategic leadership, ensuring technical excellence, managing product development, and leading team management. Your key responsibilities will include: - Strategic Leadership: - Leading cross-functional collaboration between engineering, product, and business teams - Driving architectural decisions and technology choices aligned with business objectives - Establishing engineering best practices, coding standards, and development methodologies - Building and scaling high-performing engineering teams - Technical Excellence: - Overseeing the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions - Ensuring robust system architecture capable of handling growing user demands - Leading technical reviews and guiding complex engineering challenges - Driving adoption of modern development practices like CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps - Product Development: - Managing multiple production rollouts and ensuring successful feature delivery - Collaborating with product management to translate business requirements into technical solutions - Overseeing the entire software development lifecycle from conception to deployment - Ensuring high-quality deliverables meeting performance, security, and scalability requirements - Team Management: - Recruiting, mentoring, and developing engineering talent - Fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning - Conducting performance reviews and providing career development guidance - Promoting knowledge sharing and technical excellence across the team Required Qualifications: - Proven ability to design end-to-end solutions for complex business problems - Experience with system integration, data modeling, and enterprise architecture patterns - Strong understanding of scalability, performance optimization, and security considerations - Deep expertise in Java programming with hands-on development experience - Extensive knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software architecture principles - Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems - Strong people management experience is required In addition to the above, the job requires proficiency in: - Programming Languages: Java - Frameworks & Technologies: Spring Boot, Spring Framework - DevOps & Tools: CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), Testing frameworks (JUnit, pytest, Selenium) Please note that Cloud Technologies knowledge is considered a good-to-have for this role.,
