Vice President - Data Scientist - Fraud Analytics

In this role at Citi as Vice President - Data Scientist_Fraud Analytics- Hybrid, you will be part of the Citi Analytics & Information Management (AIM) team, where you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge data science solutions to enhance fraud detection and reduce false positives. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing, validating, and testing fraud detection models through statistical analysis, data validation, and model performance evaluation. - Conducting validation assessments for fraud model validation and implementing methodologies to assess model accuracy, robustness, and effectiveness. - Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in fraud detection and model validation. - Working with large and complex data sets to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies. - Identifying and compiling data sets using tools like Hive and SQL to predict, improve, and measure key business outcomes. - Documenting data requirements, data collection, processing, cleaning, and exploratory data analysis utilizing statistical models and data visualization techniques. - Specializing in fraud or risk domain is preferred. You should have: - 10+ years of hands-on analytical experience. - 7+ years of experience in statistical analysis with proficiency in Python (Must), Hive, Spark, and SAS. - Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with knowledge of probability theory, statistics, and mathematical finance. - Proficiency in traditional and advanced ML algorithms, statistical analysis, and model validation techniques. - Expertise in model evaluation techniques and familiarity with regulatory requirements related to risk model validation. - Strong communication, interpersonal, project management, and organizational skills. - Ability to work independently, handle large volumes of transactional data, and deliver projects in a fast-paced environment. - A Masters/Bachelors/PhD degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
