Vice President - Data Science, Applied AI and ML

The Lead Data Scientist position within the J.P. Morgan Compliance, Conduct, and Operational Risk (CCOR) Data Science team offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of developing innovative AI and ML solutions to enhance risk management and compliance processes. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leveraging advanced analytics, AI, and Machine learning technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), to transform how compliance, conduct, and operational risks are managed across the organization. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, deploying, and managing AI/ML models using advanced techniques such as LLMs and Agentic AI for developing compliance and risk management solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements, conduct research on AI techniques, and effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting data to evaluate model performance and identify areas for improvement. To excel in this role, you are required to have a Master's degree in a quantitative discipline or an MBA with an undergraduate degree in areas such as Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, etc. from a top-tier university. You should have at least 12+ years of experience in developing AI/ML solutions, with recent exposure to LLMs and Agentic AI. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, experience with frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow, and a solid understanding of machine learning concepts, including transformers and language modeling, are essential. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and familiarity with data structures and algorithms for effective problem-solving in machine learning workflows are also required for this role.
