Vice President- Corporate Taxation

As Vice President - Strategic Taxation at our large Indian conglomerate with an annual turnover of USD 400+Millions, you will be reporting directly to the CFO. With 15-20 years of post-qualification experience in managing taxation, including at least 5 years at a corporate level overseeing strategic taxation, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing the Group's overall tax strategy encompassing both direct and indirect taxation. Your qualifications should include CA/CPA or equivalent, with an MBA considered as an added advantage. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing and executing the Group's overall tax strategy, encompassing both direct and indirect taxation. - Demonstrating very strong working experience with Indian tax law, international taxation, and a good understanding of large family business dynamics. - Supporting fundraising activities, cross-border transactions, and succession/wealth transfer planning, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives. Your detailed responsibilities will involve: - Strategic Tax Planning: Aligning tax strategy with business growth, capital structure, and long-term value creation. - Taxation Expertise: Demonstrating deep knowledge of direct (income tax, transfer pricing, capital gains) and indirect tax (GST) frameworks. - Transaction Structuring: Proficiency in tax-efficient structuring of M&A, private equity, and cross-border transactions. - Family Business Acumen: Understanding family arrangements, succession planning, and intergenerational wealth transfers.
