Veterinary Scientist, Preclinical Research

You are seeking a motivated Veterinary Scientist to support preclinical research and translational programs. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on animal handling expertise with a strong scientific curiosity to explore new routes of drug administration and disease modeling. This role goes beyond routine colony management and offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge translational studies that bridge discovery and therapeutic development. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee and maintain breeding colonies, ensuring animal welfare and health record compliance. - Support and execute preclinical and translational studies evaluating novel genomic medicines. - Assist in designing and performing dose-response and route-of-administration experiments. - Handle and breed small animal models (rodents), ensuring ethical and compliant practices. - Collaborate closely with partner CROs to plan, monitor, and execute in vivo studies in alignment with research timelines. - Work with molecular biologists and pharmacologists on integrated R&D programs. - Participate in protocol design, data recording, and study reporting. - Ensure adherence to CPCSEA and institutional animal care guidelines. Qualifications: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc / M.V.Sc) with specialization in Pharmacology, Physiology, or Pathology preferred. - 1-3 years of experience in translational or preclinical research. - Experience in animal handling, breeding, or colony management. - Bonus: experience with genetic disease models or drug delivery route optimization. - Strong analytical mindset and curiosity to explore experimental innovation in biotech R&D.
