Vertical Farm Operations Coordinator

As a Remote Farm Operations Coordinator for a high-tech vertical farm based in Amsterdam, your role will involve remote monitoring, problem-solving, and coordination with on-site teams and vendors to ensure seamless operations. Your responsibilities will include: - **Daily Monitoring:** - Monitor real-time dashboards for seeding, harvesting, robotic cranes, climate control, and irrigation systems. - Detect anomalies and system errors, responding promptly to minimize downtime. - **Troubleshooting:** - Investigate disruptions in production flow and initiate resolution steps. - Address failures in automated systems including robotics, climate, and watering infrastructure. - **Incident Reporting:** - Maintain accurate logs of issues requiring manual intervention by on-site Maintenance teams. - Escalate complex or unresolved technical problems to third-party vendors with clear documentation. - **Operational Oversight:** - Ensure critical tasks are completed before restarting operations. - Verify completion through system dashboards or coordination with the on-ground staff. - **Activity Coordination:** - Support planning and remote execution of activities such as system calibration, commissioning, or updates. - Ensure alignment with production schedules and operations timelines. In terms of qualifications and skills, you should possess: - A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. - Prior experience in production monitoring or remote system operations. - Ability to interpret system data and act decisively under pressure. - Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or other industrial dashboards. - Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS (CloudWatch, IoT Core) and its CLI. - Basic understanding of python and Linux commands. - Excellent communication skills to manage coordination across global teams and time zones. - Flexibility to work in alignment with European hours, including occasional weekend shifts. - Willingness to relocate to Nagpur for training, with remote work options available after initial training.
