Roles and Responsibilities Develop new products from concept to production, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards. Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet customer requirements while maintaining high levels of productivity. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test sheet metal parts using various manufacturing processes such as stamping, casting, machining, etc. Desired Candidate Profile 10-15 years of experience in New Product Development (NPD) with expertise in sheet metal stamping/design/development. Diploma degree in Any Specialization; BE/BTech preferred but not mandatory. Strong understanding of press tools/press tool design & development; knowledge of sheet metal stamping techniques an added advantage.
1. Quality Strategy & Policy Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO/TS and industry standards. Define quality objectives, KPIs, and policies to drive continuous improvement. Establish quality standards across incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods . 2. Process & Compliance Management Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, TS16949, IATF, AS, or other applicable certifications . Conduct internal quality audits and coordinate external certification or customer audits. Maintain documentation, SOPs, and records as per regulatory and customer requirements. Monitor adherence to safety, environmental, and statutory regulations . 3. Quality Control & Assurance Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection to ensure defect-free output. Develop and monitor control plans, inspection checklists, and quality standards . Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conformances. Implement statistical process control (SPC), FMEA, MSA, PPAP, and APQP practices. 4. Supplier & Customer Quality Audit and evaluate suppliers for quality performance and compliance. Manage supplier quality issues and implement corrective actions. Handle customer complaints, warranty claims, and product returns , ensuring timely resolution. Maintain strong relationships with customers to enhance customer satisfaction . 5. Team Leadership & Training Lead and develop the quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) team . Train employees in quality tools, standards, and best practices . Promote a quality-first culture throughout the organization. Assign roles, monitor performance, and ensure accountability within the team. 6. Continuous Improvement Drive Kaizen, Lean, and Six Sigma initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Use data analysis and reporting to identify trends and areas for improvement. Benchmark against industry best practices to achieve world-class quality standards . Implement digital tools (IoT, AI, ERP integration) for smart quality monitoring. 7. Reporting & Documentation Prepare and present quality performance reports to management. Maintain quality metrics dashboards for real-time monitoring. Document all corrective actions, preventive actions, and improvement activities.
