Role Overview: Syngenta Seeds is looking for a Procurement Specialist to handle the negotiation and procurement of non-seed materials for various operations in India and Bangladesh. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing procurement plans, selecting competitive vendors, coordinating artwork changes, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. Key Responsibilities: - Negotiate with vendors for pricing of non-seed materials and finalize prices with appropriate approvals - Procure non-seed materials such as packaging material, chemicals, etc. for various requirements - Prepare monthly procurement plans based on ROP to avoid sales loss due to material shortages - Initiate new material codes for new materials and coordinate with vendors for timely deliveries - Coordinate artwork changes with designers, product managers, legal team, and plant operations - Update specifications of laminates, outer bags, and stickers - Coordinate stock movement and supply non-seed materials to tollers in coordination with vendors and planners - Negotiate prices with vendors and finalize rates for non-seed materials - Coordinate with planners and operations team to review inventory, avoid surprises, and ensure timely availability of materials - Track inventory through SAP and manage obsolete materials as per protocol Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Science - Minimum of 3 years of experience in vendor scheduling and planning - Good analytical and communication skills Additional Company Details (Omitted): Syngenta Seeds is one of the world's largest developers and producers of seeds, headquartered in the United States.
