Vehicle Service Technician

Location: Chinniuyampalayam, Coimbatore.

Job Summary:

The Service Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles, machinery, or equipment to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. This role demands strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on vehicles or equipment as per manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and service manuals.
• Replace or repair defective parts such as bearings, gears, valves, and wiring.
• Document all repair work performed, including parts used and labor time.
• Communicate effectively with the service advisor or manager about repair progress and additional work needed.
• Ensure all safety protocols and company procedures are followed during service operations.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and the workshop area in proper condition.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff if required.
• Attend product or technical training programs to stay updated with the latest service technologies.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: ITI / Diploma / B.Tech in Automobile, Mechanical, or related discipline.
• Experience: 1–3 years (for junior level) or 3–8 years (for senior level) in equipment or vehicle service and maintenance.
• Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
• Ability to read technical drawings and service manuals.
• Familiarity with diagnostic software and tools.
• Soft Skills:
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.

Working Conditions:

• Workshop or field environment (depending on role).
• Occasional overtime or weekend work based on service demands.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹9,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
