Role Overview We are seeking a diligent and enthusiastic Kitchen Steward to join our East Asian culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring all utensils and equipment are sanitized, and supporting the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality dishes. Key Responsibilities Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the kitchen, including floors, walls, and equipment, is clean and well-maintained at all times. Dishwashing: Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment. Waste Management: Properly dispose of waste and recyclables, adhering to the restaurant's guidelines. Assist Kitchen Staff: Support chefs and other kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed. Inventory Support: Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring stock is organized and rotated appropriately. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 0–2 years of experience in a kitchen or similar environment. Basic understanding of kitchen operations and hygiene standards. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Preferred Attributes Previous experience in an East Asian restaurant setting.
