Valuation Services Director All India Locations (Chennai, Bengaluru, Kochi, Hyderabad & Coimbatore)
Position Profile
Weaver seeks a Director to join our growing Valuation Services practice in India. This client-facing advisory professional will hit the ground runningcollaborating seamlessly with our U.S. clients and internal teams. Our Valuation Services team provides services specifically developed to meet the evolving needs of our clients including valuations for corporate tax and financial reporting such as purchase price allocations, goodwill impairment, equity compensation and reorganizations, as well as employee stock ownership plan (ESOP), real estate and complex financial instrument valuations and valuations for gift and estate tax, management planning and fairness opinions.The ideal candidate is a dynamic professional who has an advanced understanding of valuation approaches and methodologies, US GAAP and IFRS, as well as ASC 350, ASC 360, ASC 718, ASC 805, and ASC 820. This Director is responsible for day-to-day execution of engagement objectives while supervising small teams of staff members on multiple concurrent engagements. The Director will also assist with reviews of the work of other valuation specialists for Weaver audit clients. This role will provide an opportunity to offer your valuable expertise to a variety of clients. This position may offer the opportunity to travel based on client needs. This individual has experience managing engagement economics and client expectations to drive successful completion of engagement objectives. Candidates must be able to support the US team during certain US business hours as needed.To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:
- Bachelor's or Master's equivalent degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business or equivalent required
- Relevant certifications (i.e. ASA, CPA/ABV, ASA, CVA, CFA, CEIV or equivalent)
- Thorough understanding of Valuation modeling, approaches, and methodologies
- 8+ years or more of accounting or consulting experience at a public accounting or consulting firm, industry of combination of public accounting and industry experience
- English Fluency
- Expert skills with valuation research tools such as Capital IQ, Deal Stats, and the Kroll Cost of Capital Navigator
- Proven ability to establish relationships, acquire new business, and prepare engagement proposals
- Experience managing small teams
- Experience in mentoring and developing staff
