The Ward Boy is responsible for assisting nurses and doctors in providing basic patient care, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth day-to-day hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist patients with mobility, shifting, and basic needs
Help nurses during patient care and procedures
Transport patients for tests, scans, or surgeries
Maintain cleanliness of wards, beds, and patient areas
Change bed sheets and assist in hygiene care of patients
Carry medical files, samples, and reports when required
Support in emergency situations as directed by staff
Ensure availability of basic supplies in wards
Follow hospital safety, hygiene, and infection-control protocols
