As a Senior Associate Director of User Experience Design at DTCC, you will play a crucial role in leading enterprise-level design system initiatives that impact global financial markets. Your expertise in creating, scaling, and maintaining institutional-level design systems will be essential in driving adoption across a complex, regulated environment. **Role Overview:** As the Senior Associate Director of User Experience Design, you will be a key leader within the UX Center of Excellence (COE), specializing in enterprise-grade design systems that support multiple lines of business (LOBs). Your responsibilities will include architecting and maintaining a robust, scalable design system for DTCC's enterprise applications, defining governance models, versioning strategies, and contribution workflows for multi-LOB adoption. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Design System Leadership:** - Architect and maintain a robust, scalable design system for DTCC's enterprise applications. - Define governance models, versioning strategies, and contribution workflows for multi-LOB adoption. - **Design Tokens & Advanced Implementation:** - Implement and manage design tokens for consistent theming and brand alignment. - Leverage advanced tools like Token Studio for automation and reuse across platforms. - **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** - Partner with Product, Engineering, and UX teams to ensure seamless integration of design system components. - Advocate for accessibility, compliance, and performance standards in all design system assets. - **Innovation & Scalability:** - Continuously evolve the design system to support new technologies, frameworks, and business needs. - Drive modernization initiatives for UI components and front-end development practices. - **Mentorship & Enablement:** - Coach designers and developers on design system usage and best practices. - Conduct training sessions and create documentation for enterprise-wide adoption. **Required Qualifications:** - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Minimum 10 years in UX design, with at least 3-5 years focused on design systems. - Proven experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries. - Expertise in design system architecture, governance, and scalability. - Deep knowledge of design tokens, Token Studio, and component libraries. - Proficiency in Figma and other modern design tools; familiarity with front-end technologies (React, CSS frameworks). **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience with multi-brand or multi-LOB design systems in large organizations. - Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards and compliance requirements. - Certification in Design Systems or DesignOps methodologies. **Leadership:** - Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive enterprise-wide adoption. - Strong communication and collaboration skills across design and engineering teams. **Cultural Fit & Leadership Competencies:** - **System Thinker:** Approaches design with scalability and maintainability in mind. - **Collaborative Leader:** Builds strong partnerships across design, engineering, and business teams. - **Innovator:** Continuously seeks opportunities to modernize and optimize design practices. - **Empathy & Advocacy:** Balances user needs with technical and business constraints. - **Operational Excellence:** Drives process improvements and ensures high-quality deliverables.,
