Key Responsibilities: Month-End Close & Reconciliations: Perform daily, monthly, and year-end accounting close procedures, including preparation of journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliation of accounts. Prepare and review account reconciliations for all relevant accounts, including bank, credit card, and intercompany accounts. Payroll Analysis & Compliance: Analyze payroll data and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and accounting. Accounting Best Practices & Process Improvement: Serve as the SME in all accounting matters, providing guidance to junior accountants and team members. Identify areas for process improvements within the accounting function to streamline processes, improve accuracy, and ensure efficiency. Document accounting procedures and internal controls to maintain compliance with financial reporting standards. Accounting Software Management: Usage of QuickBooks Online for accurate financial reporting and accounting transactions. Utilize Bill.com for accounts payable and receivable management, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. Maintain and update accounting systems and software as necessary to ensure smooth operation and reporting accuracy. Tax & Compliance: Support the preparation of tax filings, including 1099, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws. Collaboration & Reporting: Provide timely and accurate financial reports to Account Managers, highlighting key variances, trends, and areas of concern. Collaborate with other departments, including HR, Operations, and Sales, to ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on US accounting processes, month-end close, and reconciliation. Prior experience with QuickBooks Online and Bill.com is a must. Strong knowledge of US accounting principles, including GAAP, and payroll tax laws. Experience with preparing and analyzing financial statements and performing reconciliations. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
