Essential Job Duties: Plans and coordinates independent work requiring judgment and experience in the application and substantial adaptation of engineering techniques. Coordinates engineering efforts in assigned areas between specialty and other engineering groups or disciplines, with the client, suppliers, and contractors and between other groups. Prepare, check / review, approve conceptual studies, designs and detailed project drawings, proposals, design criteria & specifications, project budget and schedules Assists in on-the-job-training of assigned personnel and mentors them and provides input for their performance evaluations. Assists Construction and Field Engineering to resolve Contractor Technical Queries and resultant field changes. Ensures that technical risk assessments are comprehensive and complete, safety practices and procedures are implemented, and engineering design and corresponding design documentationsomply project Quality Assurance plan and procedures. Assists in creation of a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, satisfaction and in planning and implementing a program to develop self-perform engineering capabilities and resources. Job Knowledge: Minimum 10 years in design of large-scale highways and roads projects including 5 years on International Projects. Demonstrated skill in supervision in a lead position for minimum 3 years. Must haveworked on at least one highway project from conceptualization to execution. Candidate should have worked in an engineering office or consultancy of repute performing relevant work and is fluent in applicable codes in US, UK and Europe and governing highway/roadwaydesigns including AASHTO, US FHWA and TEM and have hands-on expertise in using design software such as MX-Road, InRoads, OpenRoads and Civil 3D. Knowledge of Quantm software will bepreferred. Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university. Master's degree in Highway or Transportation Engineering and professional license in an appropriate engineering discipline from a recognized licensing board will be preferred. Experience of traffic engineering works shall be an added advantage.
