experienced DBA with strong expertise in MongoDB, PostgreSQL, data

warehousing, and BI tools to strengthen our data engineering team.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior DBA who will be responsible for designing, managing,

and optimizing our database infrastructure. The role involves building robust data

pipelines, warehouses, and analytics solutions to support both operational and

business intelligence needs. You will ensure data availability, security, and

performance for the CYBX application and analytics ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases for

high availability, scalability, and performance.

• Architect and implement data warehousing solutions to support reporting

and analytics.

• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured

data.

• Enable business intelligence and analytics by integrating databases with

tools like Metabase or Power BI.

• Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexing, and

partitioning strategies.

• Implement and maintain database security, backup, recovery, and disaster

recovery solutions.

• Work closely with backend engineers, data analysts, and product teams to

support application and reporting needs.

• Perform capacity planning, monitoring, and database tuning.

• Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.

• Mentor junior team members and establish database best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1012 years of experience in database administration and data management.

• Strong hands-on expertise with MongoDB (replication, sharding, performance

tuning) and PostgreSQL (partitioning, indexing, query optimization).

• Proven experience in data warehousing design and implementation.

• Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and data pipelines.

• Proficiency with analytical and BI tools such as Metabase, Power BI, or

Tableau.

• Strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and schema design.

• Familiarity with cloud-native database solutions (Azure Cosmos DB, Azure

Database for PostgreSQL, etc.).

• Experience with backup/recovery strategies, high availability, and

clustering.

• Solid understanding of data security, encryption, and compliance

standards (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Good to Have

• Experience in cybersecurity, fintech, or enterprise SaaS platforms.

• Familiarity with streaming technologies (Kafka, Event Hub) for real-time

analytics.

• Exposure to data lakes, big data tools (Spark, Hadoop).

• Knowledge of Python or Shell scripting for automation.
