Maintenance Technician – Metal Stamping Industry

Location: Ambernath

Experience Required: 3 to 5 Years

Job Type: Full-Time

Department: Maintenance

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of metal moulds, press machines (mechanical/hydraulic), surface grinding machines, and other plant equipment.

Conduct daily inspections and identify potential issues to avoid machine downtime.

Carry out mould assembly, disassembly, cleaning, and repairs, ensuring high tooling precision.

Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and minor electrical issues.

Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report any recurring equipment failures.

Work closely with the production team to schedule timely machine servicing without disrupting operations.

Ensure adherence to safety protocols and plant maintenance SOPs.

Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machines and tools

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Diploma/ITI in Mechanical, Fitter, or Tool & Die discipline.

3–5 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance of metal stamping machinery and tooling.

Proficient in reading engineering drawings and understanding mechanical tolerances.

Sound knowledge of press machines, grinders, moulds, and basic electrical troubleshooting.

Ability to work independently with a problem-solving attitude.

Basic computer skills for maintenance reporting.

Preferred:

Experience in precision fabrication industries.

Exposure to TPM or predictive maintenance systems.
